My wife took my car to get it inspected yesterday and they told her I needed a new tire so they replcaed my front drivers side tire. There was still a 1/4 inch tread left but w/e im fine with paying for it.
Anway on the way to work this morning I noticed the steering wheel start to vibrate around 65mph but I didnt notice it at lower speeds. And now theres a ticking kinda sound when I cruise between 30-45mph but doesnt make any sound at higher / lower speeds. I popped the center cap off / inspected tire when I got here but didnt see any noticeable obstruction.
My only 2 guesses would be either I need to replace the other front tire as well for some reason or they didn't balance the wheel when they put it on? Any ideas? I didnt think to check the tire size they put on so I guess a mismatched tire might be the cause?
Thanks in advance.
