Hi all,

I've just bought my new computer, and i have the following problem id like some advice on...

Case is AMG1000. M/b is Giga K8NSPro.

There was this whirring noise coming from the case soon after i installed everything. It was intermittant for a day or two then went continuous.

I isolated it to the front speaker next to the LED's and power on/off and reset switch.

I have pulled the plug on the speaker cable on my motherboard which has (obviously) stopped the noise.

My question is this, am i losing out on not having the speaker installed? Was the noise a warning message, or was the speaker just faulty? How would i confirm this?

Im not an expert, neither am i a noob. taking it back to the shop is something i would like to avoid if at all possible, mainly cos the shop is 2 hours drive away..

any ideas?

cheers

so that speaker on the MOBO was makeing the noise? by unplugging it you do loose the ability to hear error beeps during boot and suce, but IMO i wouldent worry aboutit
