I wonder how much of a performance gain the clock speed bump will give it over the 9600pro?

The ASUS Radeon 9600XT is also in stock at ZIP for $219.

Bump up the coreclock on the AIW 9600 and you have a AIW 9600xt. The memory speed already exceeds the XT. 650 vs. 600

Leads me to believe that the 300/600 mem clock for the XT is not final. Just doesn't make sense.

I was wondering more if the extra 50Mhz was to keep it on par with the 9600Pro since AIWs generally lag very slightly behind their non AIW counterparts.

Yes , he was speaking only of the memory clock though. 2X300=600 memory clock.

I'm in Canada (vancouver) and so far no retailers seem to have it... very upseting, i'm still stuck with my geforce 4 mx 440...

hrm .. that's nice .. haven't decided if i wanted to ditch my Radeon 9700 Pro from a 9600 PRO AIW or just pick up a Leadtek TV Tuner.

WTF would you do that? Did you notice the performance difference between the two cards? ITd be like kicking yourself in the nuts. Get the tuner card.
