you're in california... isnt that illegal?

i doubt they'll pick on you though if your car is stock.

Yep, it's stock. I think it looks way better without it.. I'm willing to risk it. I put the plate in my glove compartment just in case.

In AL, you only get a rear. They still do the fronts too in CA? If so, I'd leave it on.

If I had front holes in my maxima I'd have a canadian flag plate, but it has no holes and I'm not about to drill any.

ive had 2 friends who have been picked off for it before. they got a fix-it ticket and had to pay $15 in court fee's. guess it all depends. was kind of an inconvience though to go and show the sheriff that the plates are back on and take time out of the day for something like that.

edit: but i do agree. id much rather have the front plates off. think it looks better without them.

Ohio requires front license plates. My sister's front license plates were cut off of her car (yes, cut - I don't know how, but the bolts behind the plate frame were cleanly sheared. She called the sheriff's office and they said that they made a note of the issue on file so that she wasn't ticketed; they gave her X amount of days to get new license plates and get the mount on the front end repaired.

I don't mind having them on the front end of my SUV... I like the way it looks better when the plate is on it than when it's not.

They sell little plastic caps at autozone or kragen that you may be able to paint match and use to fill the holes. You could also look at homedepot and lowes or orhard supply.

I've been dying to take the front plates off of mine but so many ppl advised against it. Is it really illegal? Where does it say? What code?

BTW: I saw some 8-ball screws specifically designed to cover up the holes at 99Cents market. :p Yeah, cheap but hey, they look okay.

I TOO HAVE NO FRONT PLATE.

I too have a 2003 accord, but I have no holes in my bumper. They used a bracket which attached inside the bumper.

Yes, mine was attached with this bracket with 2 bolts. Additionally they drilled through the center of the bracket as well, leaving me with this hole. I have a 2004 LX V6 coupe.
