AMD recommended ATX case airflow

i have a Enermax PSU with the two fans (one at tge bottom) and one exhaust..and still unsure whether i should use a front intake fan or not.

They say on this apper that in some ciircumstances the front intake could even be worse.

Also...one problem i i have is that i get a lot of air sucked in thru a front USB/smart card header/panel. I can feel the air being sucked in when i put my finger on the front USB ports.

thanks !

If you've got filters on your front intake, then it's usually best to have a little more intake airflow than exhaust - that way you can be sure the only air going in is going through the filters (otherwise air will come through other gaps in the case and as such lead to more dust).

I have a front and rear 120mm fan and thermal probe to measure case temperature. For my case (Antec P160) front fan on/off temps were within 1-2 degrees so I leave the front fan off to make system quieter.

As a general rule of thumb, I try to have as much airflow coming into my computer as going out.

Agreed, try to aim for negative air pressure; air going in should equal air going out.
