Front I/O case ports...

dfuze

Lifer
I'm in the process of trying to build my first case. I am having a hard time finding online a place to buy front I/O ports so I can put a mic/headphone port in the front. I found some USB stuff at Directron, but nothing for the mic/headphone. Does anyone know where I can find this stuff?

Thanks in advance!

Silverstone makes a couple of front ports panels. SST-FP31 and SST-FP32 (eigther can be had in silver or black). I recommend the FP-32 as it will fit more cases properly. They have a full compliment of ports including mic/headphone.

But most cases come with the audio ports already included - no need to buy add-ons.

You can also get do-it-yourself panels and cables from http://www.frontx.com

yeah most cases include them these days. also if this is important to you do check if the wires coming form the front port are long enough to reach the ports on the mobo.
eg on my dfl sli nf4 infinity the audio jack is right above the pci-E slot where my gfx is plugged AND there wires coming form the case are too short to reach it. it did not matter much to me but if you really want front audio take heed.

Hey tanish,

I have plenty of time and energy to dislike both M$ and $ony intensely, don't you?
