front headphone port add-on?

I'm looking for one of those drive bay expansions that have audio ports and volume controls. One of my old cases needs a headphone input so that I don't have to reach around the back to plug in headphones. I remember there were some higher-end soundblaster cards that had them, but I don't want to spend that much money on it.

Crap! it looks like Front-X is gone (www.frontx.com). They had a cable that you could use to mount anywhere on the front of your case where you could drill a properly sized hole that would allow you to keep your speakers plugged in and when you plug the headphones in, the speakers are cut off.

I guess you'll have to break down and get a proper set of computer speakers. Mine have a headphone jack (that works like the cable mentioned above) and a Mic jack. They are the Labtec Spin-70 AND they are For Sale! Decent sound quality too.

Why do you say FRONTX is gone? Their website is still up. I ordered a header connector from them not too long ago. It was funny. I bought from them because they didn't burn me on shipping as badly as everyone else wanted to. It took a long time to get it, and when I finally got it I understood why it took so long: it was shipped from Malaysia.

Well I tried to go to Front-X for a while this a.m. with no luck, but it's still there. And here's the link to the cable assembly I mentioned above:
http://www.frontx.com/pro/p090_036.html - a drill and some ingenuity is all else you need except for THIS if you want to buy it and not have to drill out one of your own cover plates.
