I bought my computer used and it is not of any standard brand.
I have a built-in wire chord with a USB plug at the end that comes out of the back of my computer. Inside the computer box the chord runs to the front of the computer to a connector that has 4 usb 2.0 slots and 2 slots for a IEE4 1394 repeater, whatever that is. I bought a USB 2.0 card with two slots and assume that the built in USB plug that is coming out of the back goes into one of the USB 2.0 slots on the card so that there would be a connection to the front of the computer to the 4 USB slots.
I have never been able to get my flash drive to work with any one of these 4 USB slots. I just use the two slots from the card in the back.
I also have two USB 1.0 slots in the back that are connected to the motherboard but are too slow for practical use. Plus, even though I moved my computer sideways instead of front to back, I still don't like having to crawl under the table and maneuver between the slots and wires to connect my flash drive every time. It would be a lot easier to plug them in the front.
Anyone know how I can get the four USB slots in the front to work so I can use my flash drives there?
