Front fan- 120mm

hey all,

i have a antec slk3700amb case and in the front a mount for a fan. i'm thinkin of puttin a 120mm fan in, any suggestions for size/make of fan. my specs are amd2800(cpu) mobo asus a7n8x with corsair 512mb pc2700. graphic card and harddrive are next purchases! thanks.
 
Well, I got one of the clear Antec's, then moved the black one that came with it to the front. If you're looking for a quiet one, Panaflo's are good also, but don't move as much air.
 
Any of the non-speed controlled 120mm fans will work well as long as you have a good fan controller. I put a high speed 120mm Sunon on the front of my Dreamer II and the whine drove me crazy until I got a good 3.5" controller. Now it is very quiet and runs cooler too.

What type of fan controller you have there?😎
 
I have several, a 3.5 generic 4 fan controller and a 3 fan controller plus USB from SVC, and an Enermax 5.25 6 fan controller with LCD. They all work well.

this fan is a good compromise of quiet and performance. IMHO it is a great fan, 29.8db and 79cfm. QUieter fans hang around 25-50cfm.
