From TI4600 to 9700NP, sane or not?

Need some opinions please. Found a place where a 9700NP is $209 so i'm in upgrade fever again :)

My second system is a P4 2.53/533 system with a GF4 TI4600 in it. My main sys.(sig) has the 9700np in it. It(9700np) is considerably faster when you crank up the goodies, but it is not a HUGE jump from the Geforce system. I would probably pass for something with even more horsepower.

agreed, the 4600 is stiil a damned fine card, up the memory to the fastest you can use in that machine

I found going from a Ti4200 to a $363 9700NP (thats what they cost here) totally sane ;)
YMMV.

How is Corsair Value 3200 CL 2.5, Apacer Samsung 3200 CL 3, Buffalo Winbond 3200 CL 2.5 (ALL 512 Meg)
