This was kind of news but felt it belonged it OT where you folks can rip it apart.

Cliffs.
Lady walks with her kid.
Her kid sees a lawn decoration of a frog that scares her
Mother (Karen) goes up to the house to ask them to remove it.
They refuse
karen goes to the HOA and gets it done.

and the reddit thread.

Totally cool frog, BTW. It's 12" high.

And yes, she is the asshole.

Crazy people are going to do crazy things.

I think she is the @hole in this situation. The very reason I don't live in an HOA subdivision.

This frog statue broke the rules of the HOA that the home owner agreed to when they bought the home. They pissed off the wrong person and felt the fucking hammer.

Don't like it? Don't move into a place that makes you sign an HOA agreement.

I wonder what that specific rule that was violated said. Any clue?

Nah I'm not sure but I think I read somewhere it was rule #13 in the HOA agreement. This shits flying all over social media though so it's hard to pin down.....I thought I read somewhere it violated something about statues of a certain size.

Frog owner may be offended by asshole's house and be well within his rights to burn it down...bylaws and such.

Reading through the comments, the frog was against the bylaws because it was above a certain size. If I were the owner of the frog, I would just replace it with as many similar frog statues allowed by the HOA, all within the size limit.

Your dumb kid is afraid of my one frog statue? Great, here's a whole army of them. Fuck you.

What kind of piece of shit human allows their child to be terrified by a harmless frog statue, and interprets the toddler's terror as "rational" and a thing that needs to be enforced, rather than used as a developmental, educational tool to help that toddler become an actual human? Isn't that the parent's job?

Fuck that mom. Someone should call child services on her.

Might want to find out why your kid is afraid of a frog?

To me, that is just normal. It's a kid with an appropriate...inexperienced kid response to a thing. The parent is at fault for justifying the child's (read: irrational) response to a harmless event.

Plot twist the kid didn't even notice the frog statue and wasn't scared at all. It was the kids mom who didn't like it from the get go and used her kid as an excuse to get it taken down. She pulled her weight with the HOA and got shit done.

She is the kind of person that everyone in the hood should bring their dog to her front lawn every morning for the daily poop, and not pick it up.
I live in an HOA and supposedly they have rules but the rules dont get enforced.
The reason I havent bitch slapped anyone is I never catch them.
