but nooooooo. low iq types have kept misreading their science and think global warming always meant warming all over.

dummies need to learn.

global warming only meant warming of the upper level of the atmosphere.

But this year also it seems the ozone hole is getting smaller. i checked the ozone hole last year and it was almost totally gone so somehow it came back almost healed.

Wow, OP has made almost 600 posts in 2 months. Did his mom lock him in her basement?

It seems that inachu has decided not to enlighten us further on this topic, and perhaps allow this thread to sink into the poisoned muck that forms the bedrock of P&N.

I think it needs to spend another day out in the sunshine where we can all enjoy it.

Oct 2014:

Technically he's right about that part:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2014/09/11/try-to-keep-up-earths-ozone-layer-is-recovering-but-that-is-making-global-warming-worse/
The atmospheric layer that protects Earth’s inhabitants from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays is slowly rebuilding itself, according to a United Nations report published Wednesday.

Scientists credit the recovery to the phasing out of chemicals used in refrigerators, air conditioners and aerosol cans in the 1980s.

“It’s a victory for diplomacy and for science and for the fact that we were able to work together,” said chemist Mario Molina, who won a Nobel Prize for his research into the ozone layer.

It's an example of global collective action mitigating environmental change.

The rest of his post, I wouldn't want to hazard a guess. o_O

I'd say that article shows that humans tampering with nature on a massive scale always goes badly. Phasing out a chemical that damages the Ozone Layer results in use of a different chemical that makes global warming worse. Mitigating one kind of environmental change and accelerating another one.

The ozone layer is of far greater value to us than a balanced CO2 level.

Anyways, OP said its getting smaller but there's still a giant gaping hole when one looks.

Mentioning global warming in a forum full of CBDives is like pouring salt in a wound. All you get are curses of agony. But you have to expect a lot of denial from folk with a defect that is killing the world, a defect they are in love with.

You're painting with a broad brush Moonie. I'm a pretty conservative fellow, and I have no issue at all with the global warming/climate change theory. I'm simply waiting for someone a lot smarter than me to propose a solution. So far, the plan seems to be to run in circles with our hands in the air, or increase taxes. There doesn't seem to be any solid evidence as to which would be more effective, so I'm waiting for a definitive course of action.

Interesting.

Do you consider burning ~16 cubic kilometers of coal and oil every year as man tampering with nature?

Wouldn't that have to be a definitive course of action according to you? Why would you assume you'd know a solution when one is proposed? The solution seem obvious to me, that we need to stop using fossil fuels. That implies to me also that we need to develop alternative energy solutions of one kind or another. But maybe all we need to do is sequester the CO2 we produce. I don't know the best alternatives, but I believe that if CO2 is the cause then we need to reduce what's in our atmosphere.

If the sea was going to cool, then how were hurricanes going to happen more often and be more powerful?

Global warming was always going to cause more and worse hurricanes.

My Y2k water now tastes like plastic.

Also, my house is 10 feet underwater. You've no idea the great lengths I go though to get ready for work.
