He didn't direct it, nor produced it, so it has a slim fighting chance
I enjoy most of his movies. The problem is he started really high and the quality has been going down with each movie. Plus, everyone spends the whole movie guessing the "twist." I really enjoyed Six Sense, Signs, and Unbreakable. I even liked the Village even though the ending was quite easy to figure out. That's where my line is drawn though. Lady in the Water was meh and the Happening was pretty bad. I haven't seen the Last Airbender either. Why do they keep letting him make movies?
I'll probably see it. Movies = two hours of escapism, a little popcorn and nothing more. Too many viewers expect every film to be some life-altering masterpiece or they are not satisfied.
Considering that stupid teens are going to see this in droves because they want to be "scared", it's going to make a lot of money.Dear lord, two hours of watching people stuck in an elevator? Who could possibly have heard that plot line and said "Oh, lets fund it!"
Hopefully this loses money big time so that we don't have to deal with the crap that come from shamalamadingdong.

People said similar things about Phone Booth when it was coming out, but it turned out to be a decent movie.
