Why not link to a place that doesn't require ShitTime to be installed?

Anyways, obligatory fact: this movie is by M. Night Shymalamamammenan and is probably not worth watching, no matter what any trailer/critic/review looks like or says.

The entire thing can be solved with the iphone's flashlight app. Or hell, any phone, ipod, laptop, anything with a light.

He didn't direct it, nor produced it, so it has a slim fighting chance

But it still looks stupid as hell so I'm going to say no, it doesn't.

I'd like to know how that story meeting went. :hmm:

"So I've got this idea for a movie. We've got these people in an elevator, then it gets stuck, then there's also a boogie man in the elevator.... we can't afford big sets anymore."

I'll probably see it. Movies = two hours of escapism, a little popcorn and nothing more. Too many viewers expect every film to be some life-altering masterpiece or they are not satisfied.

Why do they keep letting him make movies?
I enjoy most of his movies. The problem is he started really high and the quality has been going down with each movie. Plus, everyone spends the whole movie guessing the "twist." I really enjoyed Six Sense, Signs, and Unbreakable. I even liked the Village even though the ending was quite easy to figure out. That's where my line is drawn though. Lady in the Water was meh and the Happening was pretty bad. I haven't seen the Last Airbender either.

Dear lord, two hours of watching people stuck in an elevator? Who could possibly have heard that plot line and said "Oh, lets fund it!"

Hopefully this loses money big time so that we don't have to deal with the crap that come from shamalamadingdong.

Considering that stupid teens are going to see this in droves because they want to be "scared", it's going to make a lot of money.

People said similar things about Phone Booth when it was coming out, but it turned out to be a decent movie.

I only like this thread because of the different ways people are interpreting his name :awe:

I liked The Sixth Sense and The Villiage with an honorable mention for Unbreakable (probably wouldn't like it if I saw it after his turds) but now Shyama-llama-ding-dong just needs to stop. Seriously. How can he screw up any more than Lady in the Water and The Happening? Ugh. Signs was terrible too. I refuse to watch Avatar The Last Airbender.

In the morning, I'm off to watch Inception from a more consistently good director (Nolan).
