From Single SATA to RAID0?

I'm very familiar with certain types of RAID, especially RAID5. What I'm not so sure about is RAID0.

I currently have a WD Raptor on a single SATA channel. Should in the future I add another Raptor, can I place the two drives in a RAID0 array, without having to reinstall Windows and reformat?

Hope that makes sense.

If you want to do hardware raid, you can't it.

If you do software raid, then you can have Windoze on a first partition and hook up the second partition with a similar second partition on the second drive.

There are utilities to squeeze an existing Windoze build.

Obviously, the whole procedure only preserves what you keep on the boot partition, the rest you'll have to move.
