This reactor has multiple safety measures that can keep it from blowing up. Unless it’s completely destroyed I think it’ll be ok.

Yeah they were shelling Chernobyl on the first or second day of invasion. That's what happens when you send in cannon fodder with no training and no supplies and no real leadership/communication.

Best indication would be increased radiation in multiple / reliable countries nearby.
So far nothing to confirm a leak or meltdown. Granted, such things can take time to develop. But again, so far so good. Despite Russia's best efforts at insane levels of incompetence.

I've read that, ironically, the worst thing that could realistically happen with the level of fighting around the plant is the electricity to the plant itself gets knocked out, which would knock out the cooling pumps/heat exchangers that are keeping a big boom at bay.

CNN reports that as of 30 minutes ago the fire at the reactor has been extinguished.

Time to end this bullshit. Sending anti tank weapons and other such items is not going to stop the air assault on Ukraine. Putin has made it pretty clear that he is willing to contaminate all of Europe with radiation that will last for decades to get what he wants. While it's great that Ukraine is getting the support that it has received, it's really little more than 'Thoughts and Prayers', which accomplishes almost nothing. Time for some massive air support to end this now. And time to take out Putin permanently, as in with extreme prejudice.

A direct assault on a NPP resulting in meltdown would absolutely be a nuclear attack on Europe / NATO.
But so far there is ZERO evidence of a meltdown. And that is not something that can be hidden for long.
