This is not how you deal with someone who you think is an armed thug. The idiot should have alerted the store security and/or called the police if he thought this guy was up to no good. It's good to see that nobody was wounded or killed in this incident. In one sense, it's possible that this 'hero' just might have saved the victim's life.

If he had called the cops there's a chance they might have shot the poor guy on sight.

Well he was black and had a gun so the odds of him getting killed in walmart were already 97.6%

Wow. Hero to zero is an apt title. Surprised this doesn't happen more often.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. Is the old guy a hero for tackling the black guy? Is the black guy a hero for not killing this dude for attacking him? Is Walmart the hero for proving a place where so many awful people can congregate and fight amongst each other?

Ponder those and post back when you have legitimate answers.

The black guy is the old guy. The young guy took down an old guy who, for some reason, he viewed as a threat. Other than that, I think I was more than clear about what the young guy did. He was an idiot and he's damned lucky that Daniels didn't shoot him.

What he did was assault a law-abiding citizen. He thought he was taking down a criminal and in the end he found out that he is the criminal.

K I somehow got them mixed up.

I don't think attacking random black people with holstered weapons is heroic. Stupid maybe, but heroic?

If I see a black dude with a holstered gun in wal mart I leave wal Mart. That's me heroically saving my ass and not getting involved.

So much ownage here. First you don't understand a joke then you prove that you are either scared of a random dude CCWing or are racist.

Lol, if I see anybody with a loaded gun in Walmart I leave. In this case it was a black guy so I used an example the same as what happened here.

You get that?

Edit: you are a fool not to be scared. People with guns are dangerous. If by avoiding gun nuts I avoid shootings I'm "scared"?

You fucking gun retards are out of your minds. Look at you! Foaming at the mouth at the prospect of "being a hero". Is that what you idiots think you are, heroes?

Just because you're not scared to go out in public unarmed doesn't mean you're not scared of being shot by some amateur with a gun...which I guess somehow makes you a scaredy-cat.

It's not like bad things happen in Wal-Marts when people are carrying guns, BB or fire!

I think it's funny when open-carry people are walking around like hard-asses with their ar-15s when buying milk. I'm not scared of them, mostly amused by how insecure they must feel to need a gun to buy milk at a grocery store.

It just never happens here. Ever.

I have never once seen someone (not an LEO) carrying a loaded weapon, who wasn't a criminal in the progress committing a crime. I've seen a store get robbed and one dude got shot within 90ft of my apartment while I was home.

Maybe you guys all have more balls than me, whatever, your balls won't do much good if they get blasted off when you try to tackle some Unco cop.

I don't see it all the time, but if you have open-carry in your state, you'll see it.

I don't really mind it, honestly. That said, the people who carry their rifles (incorrectly, most of the time) across their chest/back are doing so to look "cool". It's just a garment for them.

They probably couldn't hit a target 20 feet away from them, assuming they loaded their weapon right and can find the safety without having to look for it.

FL..no open carry.

I'd imagine open carry would get less harassment. Much less.

I meant from "concerned" citizens, calling the police, security, etc. Not being attacked.

Considering this event happened because the attacker accidently saw a gun and freaked out, with open carry, he would definitely see the gun and freak out.

He'd probably guess he was a LEO and forget about it.
