Thank you! I really did not want to spend $500+ for a monitor, but I'm setting up a gaming system and this looks like the best choice without spending a couple hundred more. Would you agree?

Been playing some FPS and this monitor looks better then my 2 yr old Sony CRT 21", HL2 looks fantastic, I even used the DVI loopback cable from my MyHD MDP-120 HD tuner card and this monitor looks better then my DLP RPTV, makes me want to upgrade to a newer HDTV for my living room. I cannot be more satisfied.

I'll buy this sucker at $509 from Dell right now, if I know for sure I'll get it. Shipping time says "3+ Weeks". Yuck. Anybody gotten it from Dell recently?

I ordered mine on Dec 18th, they confirmed shipping by Jan 12th, it ended up shipping on Dec 23rd.

Buyer beware! False Specs on Viewsonic's website!

I just got my 912b a few days ago. I was surprised to find the the coating is "anti-glare". Personally I like the glare (2H glare) coating better because it makes the color appear more saturated. I called Viewsonic customer support and they said they have stopped making 2H glare coating for VP912b since Nov. 2004. I told them I was quite upset because no one has told me about it and even on Viewsonic's official website clearly stated that this has "Glare, 2H" coating as of today, Jan 17th. 2005. They said it's a mistake and refused to exchange for glare one nor taking my monitor back. btw, they said it's the retailor's fault for not informing me. But I told them how could anyone know if their official website doesn't have the correct information.

But for the ppl who are concerned about the glare coating, here you go, it not glare coating anymore!

Cancelled my prior VP912b order with Dell last week. The tax pushed it up to $545. Now they are offering 10% off and a $70 coupon. Back in for $500 after tax with free shipping. Still more than I wanted to spend, but sounds like a great deal. Of course it isn't scheduled to ship until 3/7 so I have some time to reconsider.

Ordered from Dell for $419 + 31.86 tax. (Used 30% coupon)

They sent me a VP191b, after dealing with having to reorder the VP912b and wait for my money back on the VP191b, they told me 3/7 also.

I actually received the monitor a week and a half ago, so the back order isn't quite as long as they said. I just set it up today, it's pretty nice.
