aight, i got a celery400@570 ppga, its still to slow though, now i know there are fcpga p3's, but what is the difference between ppga and fcpga??? or can i just get a p3 fcpga?? my board supports 100mhz fsb and can go up to 800mhz (8*100)... i want to either get a p3-600 or a celeron-800, whichever is cheaper, now al i need to know is if i can just put them on my board, cuz im not sure... do i need a ppga to fcpga adapter or something? is there even a converter for that??? please help me!!!! i want to buy a new cpu, this celeron400@570 is just tooo slow

like Wingznut PEZ said, it will not work because the pin definitions have changed between the Socket-370 PPGA Celeron and the FC-PGA Pentium3!

Check your mb spec, early mb only takes ppga, later mb takes both ppga and fcpga, some newer mb takes only fcpga.

A better upgrade - duron + new kt133a mb.
