From 600 to 1 GIG PLUS..how much change?

Thought it might be fun to get facts and opinions ...on how much the Duron & Athlon have changed from the time we got the 600 Socket A till now.

I have a 650 D (@ 840 or 876 depending on it's mood) ...prices are so low now, I am tempted to jump to an 800, but this 650 unlocked ...and I would like to move when there is a real advance in technology in the chip itself. That will probably make me wait for the Palomino, unless someone really tells us something great.

Well, the later chips are usually going to have better yields because they were produced later. However, the 700 and 750's have been known to not overclock as well.

What voltage do you have it on? Cause I'mt hinking you could do a lot better with your chip. (I have a Duron600@1050 using 1.85).

Well, I had 876 w/ 1.70 ...and when I turned it on this evening ...it would not boot ...so I go up one step at a time ...and it finally booted at 1.825.
It is still at 103*8.5 (876). Like I said, I have had it higher (893) and I hope to get it back to at least that.
