The heatsink fan is ultra-generic, generics bastard son. Chinese firecracker generic. Its a 'CPU cooler', that "prolongs cpu life" on "Intel Fiip-chip [sic] and AMD Duron, Thunderbird".

The badboy is here: generic hsf

In wondering if i should ask for another since the combo was for a duron950 and its " guaranteed for proficiency up to a 750MHz CPU". ack. I really want to save money however.

OTOH wtf im i thinking about hsfs at a time like this?

In fact, as lame as it sounds, and it is lame, although ive donated 100$ to Red Cross i was thinking maybe i should buy a Swiftech, since they are not only much better but a real American company and i would feel perhaps 2 cents better for not being able to do anything during this crises other than give blood; support American buisnesses. In fact i just bought a Crucial stick just for that reason, again, consumerism maskequerading as patriotism. I wish i could do something other than buy lame computer parts...
