Friggin' UPS, just drop off the package like I said - UPS driver my hero

So I knew a package was coming today and I put up a sign on my door "UPS - Please leave the package by this front door or around the corner behind the gate -- Thank you" Then I signed my name and printed my name. The jackasses didn't leave it. It might be policy but it is stupid. They should have just taken my note off the door if they needed record of it and left the package

edit: Cheers to you Mr.UPS driver!!!! He went out of his way to try and deliver the package a 2nd time on the same day and said "I thought I'd save you a 30 minute trip to pick it up b/c I figured you'd be home after work or something".....I offered him a beer for his troubles but he was still working so couldn't take it.

That's why I like FedEx - once there's a signature release on file, they'll leave nearly all packages at your door.

Thats some funny sh1t.
Especially because we have like 10 threads right now with people complaining about the standard UPS drop-and-run procedure.

Could they at least be fvcked up consistantly?

Haha, I had the FedEx guy come by last night at 8pm to deliver a package because I missed the first delivery. Nice couriers FTW

I ordered a radio a few years back. I had to chase the UPS truck for two days to get it. My wife ordered some sterling (several hundred dollars worth) from The Silver Exchange with the return address clearly printed on the upper left of the package and he left that on the stoop! Go figure!

2 days ago (since it is passed 12am) UPS left two packages on the porch without knocking or ringing the doorbell.
I knew this, because I was spying on her through the window waiting to speed walk to the door after she knocked/rang the door bell.
O well, just makes me dislike UPS more.
