Blah blah.
I created my own excel spreadsheet to track my rebates and today I got my lazy butt back into the spread sheet and noticed I have a good amount of rebates that I still have not received.
I know it is my partially my fault for not keeping track of it, but these outstanding rebate checks are just appauling... It's like they intentionally meet a certain quota for "missing UPC" or crap like that.

Funny how I remembered on a couple or a few of those I even called back to get it sorted out. They just magically won't give me the d@mn check.

Gotta hate these stupid rebate companies. They owe me a sh!t load which I doubt I will get back.

Eh, i'll have to file some BBB complaints probably. But i'm betting a lot of the old ones I will not get back.

I do have UPC, rebate forum, and receipt copies though.

You have to stay on top of them.

I have done thousands worth of rebates, I think I may have only not gotten one (not even sure may have gotten it, my record for that one were unclear)

I have only missed one rebate in two years and that was because I bought the product two days too early to qualify for the rebate. Some rebates come in that I forgot about. I keep an electronic file of the the rebate forms and delete the file when I get the reabate.

Ooo, but what if it makes it a super hot price.
Sometimes it is too hard to resist as these days rebate companies are getting better and better.

The best rebate which I received so far are Staples easy rebates and some rebate which allowed them to send me $ via PayPal.
It took <2 1/2 weeks to process the rebate and send the money to my PayPal account. The rebate company was http://www.onrebate.com. You can also facilitate the rebate process by paying $5.
Unfortunately I only had experience with onrebate.com once. I wish all rebates were handled by onrebate.

After calling a few rebate companies I found out 1/2 were probably my fault. Like they would say the check has been cashed or gift card has been used.
I can't find anyway to argue with that so I let those drop.
So far i'm guessing there are <$250 in outstanding rebates that are fairly old.
1 or 2 of them didn't even have a contact number or email so I said screw it and marked them out.
I guess I won't bother over $.99 - $10 rebates if they are really old.
I still have a few to get in touch with and will do that later.

Not as many outstanding rebates as I thought, which is really a good find. :)
