I don't think that would be true unless you know people several degrees removed that just have like 10,000s of actual contacts on their list.

BTW, I have ~120,000 folks on my PN.
 
Some people who have used Friendster said it was addicting at first but it got time consuming so they gave it up. I don't know the future of friendster because you have XXXXXX amount of contacts but you really only really know a small fraction of that.
