friendster: blurry photos

does anyone know why when i upload a photo to friendster and then view my own 'full photo' it looks all JPG compressed and blurry whereas everyone else's looks very crisp still?

wow, i didnt realize this place was so vicious....
i thought it would be a fine place to ask such a question.

the photos look fine at 72dpi, i edit them in photoshop
then once they are on the friendster server they get all blurry :\
 
Especially when they are REPOSTED within the last half hour.

You didn't need to make a new thread, simply bump the old one.

I encourage you to lurk more before posting again.

umm i apologize about the double post. i know about bumping DUH, the double post was an accident because i didnt think the first one when through when my browser crashed.

i still dont understand what the deal with the blurry photos is.

and i also dont understand what is so bad about asking about that here seeing as i bet hundreds of you are on friendster, others probably have the same problem as i do, and i dont know of some 'friendster support forum' so....

ive lurked around these forums for five years, i dont see what doing it some more is going to accomplish.

slinkeepie, ignore FFMCobalt. He's not able to control his PMS today. 😛

Anyway, slinkeepie .. the reason why is because Friendster automatically shrinks your photos when you upload them. It's not like Orkut where they keep the images as-is -- in the photo album. Try and resize it and play around with some of the filters.

This is coming from one of the biggest fools on atot. I wish you'd come into neochat more often.. I love how everyone BS's you (including me) and you take it every time
 
Does friendster recompress them? How big (pixel size) are the photos that you try to upload? and how big are they in your profile?

Unless I'm getting seriously pissed off, like today, I'm a huge goof. I used to come into Neochat fairly often, but that ho samson... 😉
