Hello guys I have a Sony CD-RW CRX100E burner that's about 2 years old. I used to be able to burn any 700MB data onto 700MB perfectly fine. But up till some couple of months ago, my CDs could no longer be read. After I burn a 698MB movie onto a 700MB disc, Nero doesn't give me any errors (e.g., disc not big enough, buffer overrun, etc.), and it says Burned Successfully.
However, when I put the CD back into my CD-ROM drive, and click on My Computer, explorer.exe freezes and my CD can't be read. I've tried the same on multiple computers with multiple drives, and the same thing occurs - the CD makes a lot of noise, but the action on the computer is very slow.

he doesn't listen to me I think his burner is screwed up after 2 years... all burners will die eventually :(

Could you be using poor quality CDRs? Some people say they're all the same others say the brand of CDR makes a huge difference. Maybe try a different brand of CDR? Try burning a 700Mb CD on another burner and see if it can be read fine in your CDRW.

Set your burning speed inline with the max suggested on the cd your burning to,if not a touch lower.
