heres the thing... i'm pretty certain its the ford factory thats taking the hit on the car, not the dealer... so the dealer might be willing to negotiate even further if you do things right, like showing up on a wednesday right near the end of the month (any weekday with crappy weather would be good)... ford dealer offered me $2000 for my old taurus (which was about to have the transmission fall out of it, that car wasn't worth anything) if i'd have bought a new ford that day. that would have been a cheap car.

Do you know if the A- or X-plans work with any Mazda? So you could theroretically use it for an RX-8?
