It may not be stated explicitly, but if he decides to leaves at noon and see 2 patients a day, his ass is on the grass. Realistically, the hospital controls his patient population and has it set at the point where they can make money.

He's home at 2 most days and sometimes only has 2-3 people in the office on office days. When he operates he's home by 3. Been this way for 30 years.

Averages 30-40 cases a month. Prob 2x that in patient visits

and then i remember how disgusting the human body is, and i snap out of it pretty quickly

after seeing how much my dad worked as a doctor, that was the reason i had absolutely no interest in becoming a doctor.

Me too, coming from a family that used to be doctors in their country. But I ended up being pushed by them to take all the classes in undergrad all at once and I didn't like that because it was tough instead of spreading them out.

So because I lived with IT people and am actually good with computers and software I decided for that instead. They were pissed but I didn't really feel like staying up all night studying for exams for days on end. Where now it seems like doctors in my area are burned out, they see you for two seconds...make a quick judgement and then send me on my way.

Only to return a week later in a worse condition.

He could make a lucrative business out of writing medical marijuana prescriptions for one of the dispensaries!
