Went over a buddy's place to check out his new LCD projector setup. Man, this is the only way to watch movies. It doesn't look as good as a flat panel LCD or DLP, but then again, those aren't 8 feet wide and don't cost less than 2 grand. But the images still look fantastic, as long as you have a well-mastered DVD. Matrix, Return of the King, etc. look amazing. But lower quality DVD's looked almost VHS like. Anyway, on to the pictures.

Terminator 2
T2 again
Batman looked terrible. Give us a remastered version already!
Ridiculously scary clown
Pee Wee scared of said clown
Tron light cycles
The Cobra hasn't been seen this large since 1987
Stitched panorama of the siege of Gondor

How was the screen mounted? I've got the same screen but have been too lazy to figure out how to mount it...

I have a running joke with my friend about that guy and his constantly gaping open mouth. It's just funny cause it spans more than one movie.

Eh, it's all about size man! I think I'd much rather spend $2K on a projector that runs at 1024x768 and can project a 90" screen than spend that same amount on a low-end 40" LCD.

hmm can you hook up cable to projectors?

Absolutely, many accept component, DVI, etc.

but not cable.

1. take a VCR
2. hook it up to cable
3. hook it up to projector
4. ...
5. profit!
