Friend of a friend committed suicide yesterday

her209

No Lifer
I didn't know her. I don't know the details. All I know is she was a close friend of his in high school. They went their separate ways after high school, but were friends on Facebook. He said she deleted her Facebook account shortly before taking her own life. He was pretty upset when he found out about it last night since he didn't suspect anything was wrong the days before. Damn.

🙁

That stinks. 🙁 Sympathies.

Not sure if the warning signs I have drilled into me years ago still apply either.

no sympathies for suicides, sorry

so i'll just say that that sucks

You do know that some people suicide because they're chemically imbalanced and just sick which is out of their control?

I have a friend who's hung himself 4 years ago. He was generally a miserable person, constantly battled severe depression.

You can't just tell him to freakin' snap out of it + get over yourself.

To the OP, I'm sorry to hear that your friend lost someone that was important to them. If they're up to it you may want to see if you can do something with them to try and take their mind off it for a bit.

This is not the time and the place for your inflammatory trolling.

Suicides are unfortunately becomming more common due in part to overpopulation and continued moral decline causing individuals to feel worthless, especially if they have nothing or feel that no one loves them. Putting God above all else makes other things not as important.

Ive only known one guy who killed himself back in 1988 named Michael Lippencott. I didnt know him too well, but we had a class together in 1984 and I do remember his face and voice. Ive have also had a few distant relatives die that way as well, but I didnt know them. A voice said Mike is in hell, the others I pray for.

inflammatory? does the internet give you hemmorhoids?
i was just sayin, that is all. i would not feel any remorse if any of my close friends or relatives committed suicide.

it is the easy way out....the loser's route....so shut your mouth....before i punch you in the snout....im out. (i just made this up on the fly)

Wow. That's a pretty hardliner stance. What if your friends or relatives was terminal and in a lot of pain towards the end of life?

At the end of the day, suicides cannot be generalized. There are a lot of "IFs", but at the end of the day there are better ways to deal with things than ending it all.

Listen. I know you're dense and nothing more then a troll. But outside of that fat head of yours is reality, you should look into it sometime. Reported.

eh i gotta agree with SandEagle on his view. it is an extremely selfish act and very loserish to commit suicide. you can give all the excuses about being depressed and what not, still does not justify it.

but at the end of the day, as stated, it's just a selfish act and ones choice. only people i feel sorry for in situations like this are ones like the op's friend, not the actual person who did it.

and comparing someone with a terminal illness committing suicide to someone who does it because they are emo losers with depression shouldn't even happen. totally different situations.

Reality struck much? While the man might be as stubborn as a mule, he has a valid point.

calling it a selfish act is pure ignorance. a person's life is their own. surely you don't even begin to comprehend the mind of someone who kills themself. the selfish act would be blaming the dead person for causing other people pain.

BOOT STRAPS!!! DUUURRRR!!!! There's no SUCH THINGS AS DEPRESSION!!!!

I hate people like that. One of my gf's friends is straight up crazy and needs medication to keep it together. When she's on medication, she's pretty good. If she takes the wrong medication or misses a day, she turns crazy again. Her boyfriend has seen this happen several times and he still thinks it's an act. It's stupid boyfriends like that who need to kill themselves. Our society would be stronger without them.

At the beginning of the day a generalization will always serve its purpose and that is to generalize, generally speaking.

It's their life. Any decision made over it is theirs to make alone, unless they have children to take care of. No more selfish than doing really anything. I can understand not being sad for them, however. If anything people should be happy that the individual has left suffering.
