my friend work as a hostess for a fancy restaurant and she got paid by check. she went to the bank today and the bank wouldn't let her cash her check because they said the company she works for doesn't not have enough money in their account. she contacted her boss and asked why their account has insufficient funds, the boss claims he knows nothing about this and told her to call some other guy she has not heard of before.
this is a bit shady... if for some reason they don't give her her money, what could she do? who can she report to?
