1. It seems that any programs that are recorded in HD on the main box cannot be watched in the other rooms. It wont even let you watch a downconverted SD version, nothing shows up. Is this a copy protection issue? Hardware issue? or Software issue that can eventually be updated? Kinda sucks for him as all he records is HD programs.
2. Does the box have the ability to stretch SD content while keeping HD content natural? He said that he can stretch the SD content on his TV, but when he goes to an HD channel it comes through stretched as well, needs to switch this back manually. With the old SD8300HD from the cable co, the box could handle the stretch so SD channels and HD alike would arrive full screen on his TV without any manual aspect switching.
