Let me get you up to speed...
Mid December: Friend meets girl at party, they hook up for the night
Two days later: Friend announces he has g/f
Week and a half later: Winter Break, bf/gf go home to respective hometowns (400 miles apart)
During Winter Break: Friend and g/f chat everyday...
Jan 3rd: Return to Campus
Today: He tells her he wants out in person... girl leaves his apt and then publically posts this letter on her blog
Don't tell me you don't know what you want because you do. The minute you said that I knew what it meant that you didn't really want a relationship. I hate the lies you have to tell me to hurt me more like we have no common interest. What am I suppose to do in order to have common interests with you I have tried listening to musicals even though I usually dislike them, I play video games with you, and watch car shows. I don't really know what common interest you want me to have with you because even people with common interests don't always have a connection. Everyone needs their own interests or else the world would be a bore. Sharing similar interests is not a neccesity in a relationship what is essential is sharing those interests with the person you care about. Maybe you need time to realize that and that it doesn't really matter how the relationship started or fast it is going. In the end you still can get to know the person if you really wanted to.
Furthermore unlike you I really regret the time we have spent together because it was then you had me thinking everything was well when it wasn't. If you had problems in the begining with feeling awkward with nothing to say to me you could have said something. I don't always have something to talk to you about and silence I find sometimes can be soothing.
I think the main reason you wanted to break up was because you wanted more freedom to do whatever you pleased. I never try to interfere with your life in that aspect, it was you who said that you wanted to see me everyday. I didn't mind the fact that you want to hang out with your friends I was just mad because it seemed that you wanted to dine out but not in the apartment. Also because you were the one who brought up the fact that you wanted to eat together I assume we were going to and then you ditch me to find out what your friends are going to do for the night.
I also want to make a response to the fact that you may not be able to handle the intensity of our relationship, no one can ever predict where the relationship will end up but with time you learn and grow together that is truely the beauty of relationships. I admit I have fears in the begining that we might be separeted but that is not something we are responsible for if there is. Distance makes the relationship ten times harder but I believe its always better to try and fail then to never try at all.
Lastly I don't want to be friends with you because I dont want you to think about me or hold onto me. As of right now I can say I am over you because there is no reason to hold onto someone who in the begining told me that he was out to prove that not all guys are assholes but only turned out to be one himself. I am erasing you from my life because I do deserve someone that is great. I tore the pictures & card you gave me and threw the frame onto the roof where it can lay with the stupid pumpkin man. I have also deleted the entries I wrote about you on xanga, the pictures of us on my computer, and as of today after you read this I will erase your screen name from my aim list. If we ever do cross paths again I will just pretend I saw nothing.
