according to those specs which card will be the best bang for the buck (under $150)?

Ati 9700 pro 128mb
Ati 9800 pro 128mb

or which nvidia that compete with them two?


also what is the major diff between 9700 and 9800's? im sorry but im little behind of video card tech's... thanks in advance

9800pro of course offers better performance (5-10%). Both cards are solid upper mid end performance. You'll see used 9800pros go anywhere between $150-$190 in the forums, and 9700 pros from $120-$145 in the forums. You won't go wrong with either card, but I have to warn you that you'll be limited to playing Doom 3 at a medium setting. (Which still looks stellar)

I would get a 9700Pro since it'll be a little cheaper, and you'll probably be held back a bit by the CPU.
