Just got a call from a friend who said his tire just blew and he wanted me to come down to help him change the tire. I have no idea how to change a tire and wouldn't even think it would be a good idea to go try in the middle of the night on the highway.

The police here offer a free service that they will change your tire for free. So I said I would come down to help but I'm not going to change the tire and told him to call the police and have them change it for free for him since they offer that service here.
He gets all pissed and calls me a bad friend because I can't change his tire and said I'm not going to try.

Is he retarded or am I in the wrong?

How good of friends are you guys... don't expect him to help you out when you're in need then.

My actual friends would never get pissed at me for refusing to drive out to wherever-the-hell and help them change a tire. It's not my problem and they know that. We expect each other to be capable enough by our age not to need help changing our diapers.

I say screw that guy, you can do better.

Good GAWD. Changing a tire is VERY easy.

Please turn in your man card and castrate yourself so you don't further pollute the gene pool. Have your friend do the same.

No.

There is no question. Nothing is in question. He does not.

If you get a flat tire, you have no cause to go bitching and whining to someone else, and no cause to be upset if they tell you to man up and deal with it.

If I spill my drink are you a bad friend if you don't help me clean it up?

You sir, are not a very intelligent and/or thoughtful person.

See, a thoughful person would go out to help because they were concerned with the welfare of their friend.

An intelligent friend would go regardless, knowing that the more he goes out of his way to help, the more he is owed.

You sir, did neither, and are therefore not a very intelligent and/or thoughtful person.

Aye...but don't expect JACK SH!T from him either....

He has no right to get mad, but "some" may say that he does indeed have the right to get even:evil:

I offered to go help but just not to change the tire. Then I told him to call the police and have them change it. Then he calls me back to tell me they are on their way and decides to call me a bad friend. I offered to come down again and he said there is no need but still insists I am a bad friend. WTF

1. Why can't he change his own tire?
1b. If he can't change his own tire, why doesn't he carry some kind of driver assistance program, i.e. AAA?
2. Why doesn't he use the free police service?
3. Why does he call you as opposed to anyone else?
4. Why does he feel that he is entitled to your tire changing service?

Conclusion: Your friend is a moron and is not worth the air he's breathing. PLEASE tell him this for me.

All joking aside, I don't think I am in the wrong here. I think he is just being irrational when there is a simple solution to the problem
