Friend borrowed comp.... changed themes, etc. Help!

I lent out my comp to a friend because he needed a laptop.
He ended up using it at a lan party to play world of warcraft. Of noticeable changes, he changed my background, themes to "classic" etc...

I was able to change the background, and theme back, but there are 2 visible problems I have no idea how he did.

Please see these 2 things in the screenshots:

1) The "START" button on the bottom text looks very messed up...
2) The icons have BLUE highlighting... never had this before!

Thanks!!

In the display properties, make sure that ClearType is turned on, that may fix the start button issue.

Also, make sure that you are running at native res for the laptop.

As for the blue thing on the icons.... not too sure on that one.

And this is why I don't like it when people use my laptop. Desktop isn't an issue since I hardly use it, but my laptop is my day to day machine... and they always mess with things.

The START thing worked easily, and going to system/advanced sorta fixed the other problem but now my browser is way brighter ,etc.

wow, last time i let someone borrow my computer.. these are settings I didnt even know about!

Be sure to backhand him when you see him again. You don't screw around in the settings of another person's computer.
