today i woke up and decided to unlock my barton 2500+ wk39+ cpu doing all the mods (l5 bridge and l6 brigdes), i put it in my motherboard waiting it to post.....problem was...it didnt post! so i thought to myself, maybe its the bios...so i cleared it and still no boot. after couple of tries, i made the assumption that i fried my cpu. Then, i decided to put my old 1800+ cpu in and when i powered it on, the motherboard would just power on for a second and then off. No beeps, nothing. I couldnt get my 1800+ to post either

could the modded 2500+ somehow messed up my cpu socket as well? help!:brokenheart:

Sounds like a corrupted BIOS to me. Time to buy a new BIOS chip. I got one from excaliburpc.com last summer back before Abit got this problem under control (for the most part).

could there have been a way that the modded cpu somehow messed up the socket? i think i couldve modded my l5 bridge uncorrectly =/

I don't believe so. I've never heard of such a thing happening but that doesn't rule it out completely.

I'd get a new BIOS chip. Or maybe you could RMA the board? Is it new(ish), unmodded, and in warranty still?
