Today was a grim day...after trying to push my aging 6800GT to new limits, I think I fried it in the process. As a result, I'm currently back on my GF3 temporary.

Question is, should I replace it with a new AGP card? Or should I build a new rig now.
OR should I save up for something good coming in the near future?

Current Specs:

P4 2.8 HT @ 3.97GHz
1 GB PC4000 Ram
2x200 GB Seagate 7200/8mb RAID 0
(Geforce 3 64MB)
- Rest is really not important

If you can wait until the 320MB 8800 GTS comes out, and for the price to mature, that would be a good time to buy. Plus Intel is releasing some new C2D's (such as the E4300 which has been released). Kinda depends on what you can do financially. The waiting game can end up being a loooong game. ;)

If I want to play BioShock and/or Alan Wake on pc, looks like I'll need to go dual core + Vista before long. It's just a question of your gaming requirements or whether you can stomach playing new hits on console (I pretty much cannot). Or at least so I surmise, although you didn't specify your computing habits :)
