I have a client that spilled water on his laptop keyboard. Instead of turning it off and trying to make sure it was completely dried out before continuing, he just shook it out and kept working. Thus, after a few minutes he heard a not so pleasant sound and the laptop turned off.
In opening up the laptop, I found some scorch marks on the motherboard where the touchpad cable plugs into the motherboard (right where he spilled the water). I'm guessing a motherboard replacement should get him up and running again. Is there anything else I should consider in regards to additional damage to the laptop?
Thanks,
Merg
