:disgust:

I just upgraded from E2180 OC to an E8400. One of my Freezer Pro pins whacked out so I am using a stock fan.

Speedfan shows 98 and a scary flame for CPU temp.
CoreTemp shows a steady 43 on both cores.
RealTemp shows a steady 33 and reports that the sensors may be stuck.

I have disabled my ambulance alarm in the BIOS; my BIOS reorts a steady 98.

I have an "A" stepper??

Should I send this back or keep fiddling??

Thanks all!

Same thing happened with me, the Ip35-e couldn't read my e8400 temps properly.

They got me those backing/mounting plates in 3 days via USPS; I ordered 6 of them and shipping/handling was around $6. It's a clean kit and comes with everything you need. It takes longer to remove the existing pins from your heatsink than it does to install the new mounting plate and screws. I'm quite happy with mine and it's much more solid. Good luck!
