Okay.... I ordered a fridge from Sears. GE $75 rebate, sears $40 delivery rebate. Sent in both rebates while waiting for it to ship. Sears rebate is processing, GE has ours, awaiting the number from the fridge once it's delivered.
Sears cancels order - can't get that model in. GE changed 1 letter in the name since it's a new production year.
Finally, I get Sears to order the new one at the price of the old one. (which was price matched to $350 less than Sear's price, plus the $35 10% difference)
But, I'm probably screwed out of the $75 rebate. Trying to work with GE on this though...
Meanwhile, it looks like the original $40 delivery rebate might come. But, the original purchase was all refunded to me. I've got another rebate for delivery on the new fridge... Should I send it in and hope to get both rebates? Is this unethical? Or is it ethical since Sears waited 1 1/2 months before figuring out they couldn't get that model any more, and that cost me the $75 rebate?
