The newest addition is at the top of the rack - Music Hall MMF 2.1 turntable, underneath that is the receiver (HK AVR 335) followed by the rest of the heavenly stuff, Paradigm Studio 60's and an SVS PC+ subwoofer.

Sorry for the blurry pic though, camera doesn't have a very good lens... basic P&S camera.

I would do so, but my hearing would not be able to appreciate it after a while XD

mm Paradigms.. I'm very happy with mine (studio 20s), although I haven't been able to turn up the volume more than 1/3rd of the way since my apt neighbors aren't.. appreciative.

Do you have a subwoofer paired with them? If so, turn that down and you could go up a bit more.

The Studio 20's are excellent for their size, if I wasn't saving for other things, I'd probably grab the 20's for another room.

Nothing to be honest - it's a bad camera, whose GUI isn't as easy to adjust settings for like aperature and shutter speed as I'd like, and at the same time the lens is very restricting. I could probably get a better picture, but I'm not that inclined right now :p

You gotta knock some dust off the ceiling!

For real! :p

What weighting? Unweighted or C weight 100 dB is like 1/2 watt into an array at the listening position with room gain. 100 A weighted dB is definitely going to be louder. You have a good subwoofer if you can get feedback from your turntable by leaving the stylus parked on a test record. Not really recommended but it will tell you if your stand isn't up to the task of listening to full range live volumes. 120 dB = third row from stage - A weighted of course.

Seriously these SPL's are quite damaging to one's hearing on the long term IF they last more than a few seconds. Brazen fortissimos are one thing, but a lead guitar slaying for an hour at this level will make you want to get an unlisted head - you will get a ringing for a long time. ;)

Jeez man decorate the place a little. You'll enjoy your music more.

This is only 1/3rd the room - I've got a desk, bed, tons of posters, breeding tank for crystal red shrimp, 50" TV, etc.

Edit: I'll post up some decent pictures tomorrow of everything :p

Agaboogaboo's settings are C weighted, fast response.

Try switching to A - the 109 dB your meter is reading is revealing the output from the bass driver only. Can the system produce 109 dB ± 3dB pink noise? :p

It's fun to RTA the rooms like that but it sounds very warm. Listener fatigue sets in fast - use a lower reference of 70dB if your room is quiet. Then increase volume while watching the spectrum analyzer. If the high frequency drivers overload you will see the effect of power compression kicking in as their voice coils heat up and the effective power output drops.

If you have a lot of goodies at your disposal - such as global feedback control of each channel and ballistics monitoring of the drivers - you can still have tight bass that will have the rolling of a higher q but never the slobbery sound of a woofer that's out of control. It's hard to explain without a real hands on demonstration.
