This is awesome....

"I learned in a press release from the Attorney General tonight that I was 'stepping down' as United States Attorney," Berman said. "I have not resigned, and have no intention of resigning, my position, to which I was appointed by the Judges of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. I will step down when a presidentially appointed nominee is confirmed by the Senate."

Yep, gave barr the big fuck you.
Says he was picked by federal judges and not the orange menace, so he said he can stay until another nomination is confirmed.

Plus a major kick to the Senate Republicans balls.
Basically he said “You don’t like me investigating the President, I guess you will have to hurry up and confirm one”
Puts all the Senators who vote for a replacement on the hook to explain why they did and it makes them accountable for what the replacement does. Particularly if last minute charges are filed before the current guy leaves.

Again I’m in the camp of to move forward and let a nation heal and leave Trumpity Dumpity alone in January.

But hell no for this tub of lard. Investigated every single action Barr has done and hold him accountable.

I think the only thing that will actually heal the nation is to hold people accountable for their crimes. The core fundamental principle that no one is above the law has been under constant attack since Trump took office. If you don’t fix that by charging people who have broken the law then the nation will never heal because you just made that behavior acceptable.

I agree. We're so far over the edge at this point, that we either decide this shit won't stand and crack down or we can just pack it in and fall. Anything other than holding people accountable will be a green light to continue (for both parties).

We really can't get upset with this anymore. All the nonsense, all the abuse of power, all the dictatorship. Wasting ones time to get involved or to show concern, well that's pretty much worthless effort. The answer and ultimate solution is to simply get rid of Donald Trump. That would take care of everything once and for all. And it no longer matters whether Joe Biden is up to the challenge or the right choice. With Donald Trump it was clear that a lot of people felt it doesn't matter who runs the country, like they now believe anyone can do it even a reality TV game show host. Yes, even a clown could run the country, so given that then it doesn't matter about Joe Biden or anyone else for that matter. So if anyone can run the country then Joe Biden surely can run the country. It all comes down to voting for Joe Biden no matter if you like him or not. Trump has to go and Joe Biden must win, and all that people need to know about Joe Biden is his name.... Joe Biden. The rest is a no brainer. People need only remember the name of Joe Biden so they can mark it off on the ballot. Simple.

ha ha, step down my ass... Trump told Barr to get rid of him (and make an announcement on a Friday evening when it would get the least coverage). Surprise! Trump never appointed him, he neglected to appoint anyone. Berman served temporarily until officially sanctioned by justices. He's continuing investigations unabated, fuck you Trump/Barr and your super corrupt asses.

His replacement can't be made official until Senate confirmation of a replacement, SDNY should have time to file, hopefully.

"He's leaving."

"Like hell I am."

"Ok he's fired."

"Nope, job's mine by law until Senate confirms replacement."

Seriously doubt this will make the traitors Barr and Trump just sit back and say oh well. I hope the contents of Berman's office have been relocated to a secure location before the goons show up to collect.

If anyone still think Bolton is making things up in his book. Here is a quote, penned a long time ago, now Barr tried to follow through. Scary level of corruption...
“Trump then told Erdogan he would take care of things,” Bolton writes. Trump explained that Southern District prosecutors “were not his people, but were Obama people, a problem that would be fixed when they were replaced by his people,” according to the Post.

They will say ‘the president has the right to do this’ while ignoring the fact that if Obama did it they would be calling for a revolution.

Yeah, I predict it won’t happen until Sunday night or Monday morning assuming the President says he fired the guy during his rally.

I have a little hope Berman will stay. All the Republican Senators up for election will have to justify voting for a replacement and I don't think they can. There are 22 up for vote in Nov and 4 "NO" votes would prevent electing a new US Attorney

Crickets. They don't have the balls to bloviate through this one.
I can predict what they will say...

Trump has the right to do this.
A new USA will not interfere in any ongoing investigations, even though that will be utter bullshit.
