Anyone else enjoy this series as much as me?

My wife watches it pretty religiously, I never really got into the premise of it. Lots of my family is from west Texas, and I know how seriously (it really is a life and death thing there) they take that HS football, but the show never really caught my interest.

I watched the first season and loved it. Got about 3 or 4 episodes into the second season and stopped watching; I really disliked what they were doing there, which is a shame because the first season was fantastic!

Gah... I hate the show, yet I keep watching it.

After reading the book and watching the movie of the same name, I was hoping for a show more about football than what it currently is.

That said, there's just some things that really bug me about the show.

Had a quite weekend around the house and watched the last half dozen eps of the season off the dvr. Pretty good way to end things giving them next season to finish the show off (although some things like the FG to end the last game and the shop getting busted were plot points so heavily forecasted it would have been odd for it to not occur that way)


A shame too the way they handled riggins at the end... I mean one day he could have bagged the mother and the next had the daughter which only could possibly lead to the inevitable threesome, pure ratings gold there.
