Mine is the same it was last time I posted in a desktop thread: Windows Classic theme, Kylie Minogue on my background, and winamp classic in Windowshade mode. Only thing new is some Yahoo Widgets.

I suggest you get a cloudy image as a skydome, it looks really good. I can't enable it because my card doesn't support Pixel Shading.

Hopefully we will see more Compiz desktops next week. ;)

I tried compiz/xgl but it gets really choppy after an hour of use. Its perfectly fine and amazing when I start the system. weird.

What are the specs of the machine you're running it on?

A64 3200+ (oc to 2.3ghz), 6800GT OC, 512mb ram. I wouldn't think its my system specs since it works perfectly for the first hour or so. Im not even using that much ram during choppyness. It's a weird problem, and I havent seen anyone else with the same issues on other forums.

Oh fvck you. You can actually get Compiz and XGL to work. I can't. ATI cards just don't work well. It's also because I have a 9000 series which makes things even worse because the OpenGL is just broken in the ATI driver.

Mine

XGL works with ATI with minor problems. My friend has it (Radeon 9800 PRO). The only problem he has is that it freezes when he logs off. Starting multiple sessions is also bugged out, but these are non-standard scenarios. ATI users get AIGLX (more a Xorg extension) and NVIDIA still doesn't have support for that. Run compiz under AIGLX.

Thanks a lot man!!!!!! I just tried aiglx and it works perfectly on my laptop!!!
