That's the worst UI I've ever seen. It really truely is. Even if it were real (many things make it an obvious fake), whoever came up with that should be taken out back and shot. :disgust:
And now for something much less sickening, my Fluxbox desktop! Note that instead of cramming as much into a single pic as I usually do, I decided to take pics of each workspace, as they normally are:
Workspace 1: Terminals
Here I have ssh sessions connected to the other rigs scattered throughout the house. The one you see in the foreground is the local one.
Workspace 2: IRC
This is the one I keep XChat maximized on. Note that xchat itself is running on my server, I'm using remote X to display it on my client box.
Workspace 3: Mozilla
Most of the day, this is showing some part of the AT forums.
Workspace 4: E-Mail
Note that I have a seperate folder for almost every mailing list I am (or was at one point) subscribed to.
Workspace 5 and 6: Blanks
I have unhidden the toolbar and dock for this pic, just so you can see them as more than 2 pixel-thick lines at the edges of the screen for once.
And with a flick of the mouse wheel, I can flip between them in a split second. An environment like this may seem odd to you windows people, but if you try it, you'll never want to go back.
