Friday Alternative OS desktop thread.

Some of us have been getting bored with the regular desktop thread. 90% of the desktops are windows XP, and they really all look pretty much the same with different skins. It's like having an MP3 player thread and everyone says "Winamp 2", even if they're using different skins, it's still really the same thing.

Anyway, there is the occasional break in the monotony, but I thought it'd be nice to consolidate the more interesting and unusual desktops for easier access. Anyway, feel free to post your linux, Mac OS, BSD, or any other NON-windows screenshots here.

Mine:
iBook, OS X 10.2
RedHat linux 9.0

The desktop on the linux box is just the default wallpaper, so I left some apps open to make it more interesting 🙂

Right click on the taskbar, go to "Properties" and picks a smaller size in the "size" dropdown box. 🙂

Pretty close. I pronounce it more like "car - uh - chef - ski"... but without the pauses between the syllables, and the "uh" is only kinda halfway there.... it's hard to write out the pronunciation. 🙂

that is a picture i took in hawaii, slightly photoshopped. 😀 Here is a much smaller one i have on my site. . If you want the full size one, let me know. I know it looks unrealistically green, but that photo i have uploaded hasn't been edited. Hawaii is just that green. 😀
