Its for my wifes ditzy friend that I hate, but put up with because I love my wife. I was told that there would not be any booze served tonight. 🙁
So im thinking ill make the token appearance and spend the rest of the night in my computer room drinking Yukon Jack.

Or any good ideas on how to disguise the color and alcohol smell.
 
Dude that blows. You should have made plans to get the hell out of Dodge.

Cooping yourself up in the computer room and getting hammered ain't a bad idea but you know that once you lose your inhibitions, you will be out there partying it up, probably doing the Macarena with the ditzy friend of your wife that you hate.
 
Yeah its my house. But I love my wife and sometimes its better to sandbag it than to fight about it.

So ill be locking the door and getting slightly hammered.

They're going to get drunk and come to bug you. Slightly slurred voices, saying, "uuuuuusermannnn... come out and party with us!!"
 
Break out a couple bottles of champagne & raspberry lambic in front of the bridesmaids, & watch all those inhibitions fly right out the window. :thumbsup:🙂

Its not the drinking, its the annoying "friend" and her soon to be husband who needs to tell her about the secretary that he has been sleeping with for the past few weeks, I Just found out three nights ago. Also she needs to tell him about the guy that my wife found her with last week.

So i need the drink tonight.

So i had better be in my room drinking.

Your going to lock yourself in your computer room while your wife is having a reception for her friend and their guests? Doesn't that seem a little childish and even rude. Sorry to sound harsh.

yeah invite the other guys in to drink.


i went to one where the guys were in the basement and the women were upstairs. but that was fine. the guy had a pool table and fooz ball table and a LOT of beer down there.
 
Its the fact that no one is supposed to be drinking. Plus the crap that they have going on and have not told each other about makes me not to want to go to the wedding.

i've heard that peanut butter helps cover up the smell. here's what i'm thinkin': after guzzling down some booze, eat a spoonful of peanut butter, then munch on a chocolate candy bar afterwards. hopefully it'll work like a charm.
 
heh one thing is my wife would not make a party like that in my house. while i do not drink a lot (often but not a lot. get buzzed on 3 beers heh) i do not like being told i can't have one in my house.

my mother in law is that way. she hates alchohol. we had my wife's younger sisters over for a party. she told my wife that i could not have beer for people. i just laughed when my wife told me that. needless to say i had a LOT of beer. drinking all of it was a pain.

hmm all this talk of beer has made me want one. to bad i'm out sigh

my friend's reception had no booze. but mostly because there was a lot of alcoholism in one of the families... so it was best not to.
