Fricking cheap guitars

it's a good deal if you're in the market for an Epiphone, same Korean-built mass-produced guitar at a much better price

EDIT: that's for the Agile line, the SX are lower quality from China

And if you do a search on their site of all the names of the logos they use on their home page, you'll find that they have none of the products of the logos of top brand names they use.

I have an SX Acoustic and Electric.

The pickups in the electric are cheap and weak. The acoustic is ok for the price. Having bought them, I can't really recommend them.

I'm probably going to list them in FS/T as soon as I get some good packing material.

don't buy a crappy guitar! how many times does it have to be said. You will be frustrated and never learn. buy something quality, at least then you will really know if you want to play or not, and if not you could probably just sell it for a small loss. don't buy a piece of crap!

My brother has this one and it looks and sounds pretty good to me. Then again, I am not guitar player and my brother has only been playing for the last couple years. I think these things are made in Korea. My brother's is pretty heavy and seems well built.

I have one of the Agile 2500 Gold Top LP copies and I can't speak highly enough about it. While not a Gibson, it's definitely a good playing higher quality guitar. People who have played it are amazed at what I payed fo it. Considering what you get vs. what you pay for I've yet to play any other guitar that can touch it. The point is, this is not your average $250 axe.

Don't take my word for it, though. Go over to the forums at harmonycentral.com. Do a search for Agile and read the responses. There are a lot of people that don't like them simply because they're not Gibsons but 99% of the guys who have played one seemed to be very impressed. Anyway, just my $.02

I heard good things about the Agile 2500 (and greater 3000+). They can be had for less money than an Epiphone or a Gibson and you could spend the savings in money on some hot pickups. It wouldn't be exactly the same but as far as "bang for your buck" it is supposed to be a good deal.....I own a Ibanez, ESP, and Epiphone though, so don't take my word.

Have you seen these brand names before? SX? Agile? That may explain it. 🙂

Actually I bought the Agile guitar that looks like a Les Paul for like under $300 and I switched out the bottom pickups with a $100 S. Dunkan JB pick up and it sounds just the friggin same as a real Les Paul. I have a hard-on that it only cost me under $400!! (I am used to getting ripped off by musicians friend)

I was looking around for basses, and a lot of people are really amazed with the quality of the basses. Not sure on the guitars, but I was seriously considering picking up a $120 bass + some pickups. Apparently it's good enough for a lot of ppl to gig out with even..
