Frickin gross....

GoingUp

So I went to Target today to pick up some things and I got a body fat scale, the kind where you input a few measurements, then it sends a tiny signal through your body and pretty accurately measures your body fat.

Well I get it home and there are a couple pieces missing, like the tape measure, nothing major. So I'm trying to set this thing up and it keeps erroring, and then I find that both profiles have been already filled out.

Someone used this scale and then fricking returned it, and they put it back on the goddamn shelf and I ended up buying it. :| Goddamn disgusting. I dont know about all of you, but im not in the habit of sharing other bathroom products with other people.

Its too late now and the store will be closed, so I'll have to return it later this week...

That's crap. Make sure you let them know what the deal was...don't just return it without saying anything. :|

Wow, didn't know you felt that way. Okay, I'm sorry I borrowed your toothbrush and used it to clean my toilet. It won't happen again.

How do you use that device ? Can't get a mental picture.

Its looks like a normal bathroom scale except that it has metal bars running across it. Your supposed to get them slightly damp as well as the bottoms of your feet slightly damp then step on the scale. The scale will then tell you your weight and your body fat %. It calculates this by using measurements that you enter into the scale ahead of time (wait and neck size) and then it sends a small current through your body and measures the impedence.

Same thing happened to me at Target on a $200 floor scrubber.
Missing chemicals and parts.
They obviously took it back without even checking it, resealed it and put it back on the shelf.
I returned it immediately and got a new one.
The customer service gal's comment?
"Yeah, this happens"
Grrrrrrrr

It would seriously bother me that someone else had their bare feet on that. I'd have to spray it a few times with something that kills germs and bacteria. Icky!!

If there's no way to reset the measurements in it, then the only thing you can do is return it. Gross though!!

I plan to talk to a manager when I go back and let them know that its unacceptable to do something like that without checking to see if a bathroom item has been used. Maybe the manager can do something for me, who knows.
