Depends what's on them. I could see wanting to monitor them from across the room if they are rendering or something.

I can see why 5 minutes could be highly annoying. Is there anything wrong with say 15 minutes?

With the amount of time you spent writing on these forums (work must be tough for you) you could have written a mass email and explained the process to them.

Please understand that IS people with an attitude like you have are responsible for IS people having a generally bad reputation with the majority of end users.

The way you stated the original post, made it appear as if you had the user locked out of changing this setting. And thus readers of your post thought you HAD to do it and no one else could. Then we figured you were just too lazy to do your job.

Sorry I misinterpreted your post. You should edit it to read more clearly.

No kidding. OP, isn't that *your* job? I'm sure what seems like a simple thing to you may not be for someone who job is not to understand how to modify system settings.

When you go out to dinner, does the waiter complain when you ask for a refill? I mean, "OMG YUO stupid n00b, the pitcher of tea is right over there!! Why can't you do it yourself. LOLAMZ!"

Users with no experience or who believe it is too complicated to learn are the reason most of us "GEEKS" get paid so much and have jobs. Just remember that if all users could do these "Simple" things, IT staff would be much smaller and paid much less.
